Dear Residents,
We have received a number of complaints regarding parking on the estates, particularly in Culbertson Lane. These are not new concerns and previous Trustees have tried to enlist the help of the Parish Council in establishing no parking zones opposite road junctions. The Highway Code specifically prohibits parking within 32 feet of a junction but it appears that some residents are not abiding by that.
You should understand that our powers as Trustees to enforce the clauses in Schedules 3 and 4 of the Deed of Covenant do not extend to the roads of the estate. All we can do is voice our concerns to the Parish Council.
This matter has been raised with Stantonbury Parish Council by email and a question was tabled at their AGM on 1st May 2024.
They have replied as follows:- We have tried on numerous occasions to progress yellow lines with MKCC, but unfortunately we do not seem to be receiving any response from them. It would indeed help if residents contact the Highways department directly to register their views.
Our residents need to contact Highways at MKCC by email at: – customerservices@milton-keynes.gov.uk
or
by telephone at 01908 252353 or they can search Highways at www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/highways and complete the proforma.
If emailing we suggest they copy in peter.marland@milton-keynes.gov.uk as their local Councillor.
We can also confirm that Luke from Crimewave will inspect the area to see if mobile CCTV would help and has also agreed the raise the issue with their own Highways contact at MKCC.
The Trustees
